Zarand Jalal Abad mine is located in 38 km from North West of Zarand Township, which is in 85 km from North West of Kerman City. Zarand is connected to Bafgh, Yazd & Isfehan Cities via main road & railway. The nearest rural community to this mine is Jalal Abad village, which is located in 7 km from South East of the mine. The distance between this mine and the first train station is 51km.
Because of the wind from desert and poor moist sea winds, the rainfall is low and duration of it is too short; the temperature changes in Zarand are +- 17 ° and weather moisture is 3-5 percent in summer. Also the annual rainfall in this region is about 164 mm. The plant covering is too paltry and only some desert shrubs can be seen.
