Mehdi Abad Lead & Zinc Mine
Mehdi Abad lead & Zinc mine with the fixed capacity of 200 M tons of solfor and oxide, is the greatest lead & Zinc mine in the world.
This mine is located in 150 km from Yazd city and the height of this mine is 1890 m from the sea level.
Years ago the zinc melting plant with the capacity of 35000 T/Y was established on be half of the potential capacity of Mehdi Abad mine.
Since 2006, Mobin Co. has started the overburdening and extraction operations from the east oxide part of the mine, based on the contract with the capacity of 2 M m³/Y. The client of this project is IMPAS Co.
The overburdening & extraction operations are fulfilled by means of different kinds of heavy equipment machineries such as Bulldozers, Loaders, 36T Damp trucks in drilling, blasting, reserving, loading & transportation operations.
